I can't speak for his area, but around here, anyone that's symptomatic is directed to get a PCR test, which can take 1-3 days to process (that post was at the 2-day mark), depending on how busy the lab is. Rapid tests take less than an hour, but they're more prone to false negatives, so they're generally only advised for low-risk people that are testing as a proactive precautionary measure, rather than for people that are at higher risk. --- This is my signature.
