Topic | I got a claim at work that's really stressing me out ;-; |
wolfy42 08/12/21 5:23:13 PM #32: | Far-Queue posted... My wife wants to get a pool and I'm against it in part because I'm afraid of waking up one morning and finding one of my kids drowned in it. When I was a kid somewhere on the east coast, I was hopping over fences to get to school (faster way then following the roads). I fell into a pool with a cover on it in someones back yard. There was snow on the ground that covered the whole thing and I happened to step right on the edge, so fell through. It was pitch black underneath (due to the cover and snow. Still don't remember getting out/back home but I did somehow. Totally insane that I survived that. Pools are freaking deadly, if you do get one, try getting an above ground pool (we had a micheal phelps one). They have a ladder you need to climb, and you an even move it away from the pool so nobody can get in. Also had a hard top that went over it. They are not that much more expensive and totally safe from having kids fall in it etc. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." Friends don't make their friends die Hanz.
