They just create a branching parallel universe (The TVA in Loki wouldn't stand for this!). Future Bulma decided their world was beyond saving, so she sent Trunks to a world that could still be saved. But now there's a second, older time capsule, too. Could it be that Trunks traveled further into the past like they discussed, and there's another Trunks running around in the present day now?
