It's not coincidence that the only people I've ever met who love the office all happen to be bullshitters. They are never the best workers, they are the best talkers who are experts in the art of dragging a 5 minute conversation into a 45 minute conversation. Calling meetings that should have been emails. They are pushing back hard against WFH partly because they are social butterfly personality types, and partly because they'll be exposed for lack of production.

Corporations need to face it that their offices are noisy, distracting, inefficient, and uncomfortable. The good employees have had enough.

This has been my observation too. I occasionally have to go in to process paperwork and there's this boomer in a different department who had to make a point to complain to me when I was in the break room about how he just couldn't work from home because he's too social and begged management to have a couple others in his department be there too
