But yes, not all of the movies he's in are winners, I agree. I saw the original True Grit for the first time last year and liked his performance there. Whether he deserved to win the Oscar over Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman is another question entirely though. Also I usually haven't seen most of the movies on these lists and don't really feel like doing it just for the sake of write-ups. Also I kind of want to mention I never got the hype for the original Star Wars trilogy until I watched other movies that came out in the '70s and '80s so I learned to appreciate the films as products of their time in the best way. --- Why do people act like the left is the party of social justice crusaders? ...
