True, basketball does rely heavily on skill and height isnt everything. Height is still massively important, though. No team will ever recruit a 6 foot athlete to play at center, no matter how strong, fast, or skilled they are at basketball fundamentals. All things being equal, height does also tend to affect reach, hand size and weight as well. Like the old saying goes, you cant teach height.

I dont think its a minor issue that, as good they were, there really have only been a handful of short pro players in the modern era.
