In the U.S., police violently crack down on protestors with great regularity and the government does nothing to stop it; in Cuba, the U.S. government is saying the police should not violently crack down on protests. You can't have it both ways. Either the police should not violently crack down on protests, or they should. Which country the protests take place in ought to be immaterial to that question. Protesting is not homogenous.
