@darkprince45 I am not going to interject myself in the conversation between you and others ITT.

I just have a sidebar question: how do you see your stance interacting with the 2A and especially the defend your castle doctrine?

theorerically if you see someone inside your home you can shoot. And the whole lets sit down and drink tea and find out why you are here thing doesnt really translate into the real world. Itd basically mean you came never protect your home (what if its an undercover cop? What if its someone with the right to be there? Etc)

this is an interesting academic discussion, I got no interest in getting mad at you or anything, I just like what-if conversations

ill answer this in a second

They still shouldn't have shot him.

What this guy did was stupid, but he was on his property and didn't break the law. If he'd upholstered his weapon and began walking towards them, sure. But he didn't. Shooting him, even with a bean bag, just escalated this to life or death. Luckily no one was killed.

wrong. He was called and observed by police as a reckless driver which can be a felony in most states. So they still shouldnt have shot him after being shot at with a gun?
