You could forgive student loans and institute free tuition and you'd still get people whining about how they paid their loans. You could send out repayment for those loans and people would complain that now you're giving money to people who don't need it and whine about the debt. Politicians will come up with any excuse to not do something they just don't want to do and there will always be people to buy into it. Also, we don't NEED input from Pelosi or Republicans as much as she wants us to think.
