Naomi Osaka dropped out of a major to deal with mental health associated with forced interviews and now Simone Biles has stepped aside in the biggest competition she can be involved in due to mental health. This is a huge deal since this is not something we've seen in athletics in such a major way. It is a big step forward for mental health advocates and haters are coming out in force because... I dunno, they feel owed something from these athletes? i think that Osaka was the same kind of thing - if she were sharapova shed not have been criticized as harshly, and many of the Fox News of the world would have made her a victim.
