#3: Silver Fang
First TCG release: Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon (2002-03-08)

I really wish I had some epic story of personal significance that explains my attachment to this card but its laughably simple and its just because I really liked wolves. I did a research project in the third grade and about the time I read about how they hunt in packs and how they can travel up to 30 miles a day for food (NEVER GIVE UP), I just got super into them. I instantly became a Minnesota Timberwolves fan despite living in Los Angeles (heh), Cassie became my favorite Animorph (this didnt last long), and I considered city-wide protests concerning the egregious portrayal of them in fairy tales which would have resulted in demands to stop their spread to the public.

So yeah then Yugioh became a thing and this card, so simple yet so beautiful I latched on to. As Karen once said, Strong [cards]. Weak [cards]. That is only the selfish perception of people. Truly skilled [duelists] should try to win with their favorites. Not that I ever used it in a real deck outside of casual videogame play against AI but I liked the idea of having a personal weak card you were just attached to in addition to your typical strong favorites.

If you look up its anime appearances, most of the time its just used as set fodder and destroyed the next turn. But I mean what can you expect, it has laughable stats and no effect. Its all aesthetic baybeeeeeeee.

ps if you have a 1st ed LOB or 1st ed LCYW in NM hit me up
