yeap the Pokemon hype affects YGO as well to some degree just because it's another big card game. currently not as high (and probably won't ever be?) as 2020 levels aside from the inevitable exceptions but among other factors scalpers/flippers who are just trying to make money move from one TCG to another

but if you're looking to sell your old cards, unless they're 1st edition and near mint condition, you are not going to see any of that big money. The value really starts going up when you get them graded though so if it doesn't even look like it has a chance of getting a good graded score it honestly might not even be worth the effort to sell.

like if i knew my 1st ed psv Jinzo was guaranteed to get a 10 and i could sell for 1k+ i would consider it but honestly unless i'm in financial trouble the collector value it has to me is not worth selling for less.
