Corporations, seeing this as a chance to appeal to that majority as potential consumers, go all-out during pride month with flashy displays of support (rainbow flags on social media and whatnot) to let consumers know that they're the "good guys". I don't know exactly how effective it is, but Americans are pretty fucking gullible and naive with regards to marketing.
