Its not evolving to my liking so my bias of liking the last 40 years of music compared to today isnt a bad thing lol. I feel like it really hasn't evolved much in the past 20 years. Like, the 70's, 80's, and 90's have a very distinct sound. Even within the genres, you can tell the difference between "70's rock" and "80's rock" and 80's Hip hop" vs "90s hip hop".
