Ari Shaffir has a hard time understanding he's not funny or likable enough to pull off offensive jokes.

Also, once you drug your friend in front of their kid, you deserve to fuck off forever. This dude is a 50 year old teenager that never grew out of his immature rebellious phase. And his humor reflects that. He's only funny if you also miss your teenage rebellious stage. I think it's also why all his friends kind of stepped out the way and let him fall. They were looking for a reason to get away from him and he provided it. Someone like Bert was just too much of a nice guy to stomp him while he was falling, even though he had every right to for what he did to him. i think Bert took it like a champ while at the same time knowing he was a danger to his overall well being and needed to distance himself. Bert is struggling trying to turn his life around and Ari is the "friend" that just hands you the gun to make it more fun to watch when you're self destructing.

Through the controversy, what was revealed is that pretty much no one around him respected him. And he deserves that wake up. Fuck him.

Good comedy is built around a persona. And Ari's persona fuckin SUCKS
