I wouldn't say I support Rodgers "over" the Packers, but, as a Packers fan, I don't hate him. Circumstances in the NFL and NBA have proven that, in this day and age, if you're a sports superstar you can go to a team and get whatever and whoever you want to win a championship. I also think there's probably stuff beyond what we've heard about the culture there. Basically, I think he just wants out, and he wants to go to a team that'll say "tell us what you want and we'll do it." He also is very obviously thinking about a Michael Strahan-esque career beyond football, and Green Bay isn't exactly the best place to play for that.
Does all of this kind of screw over the team this season? Yeah, so I get why people are mad. But I can't say I blame him.
Yeah tbh this sounds like it's been brewing for a while, and I would at least hope that rodgers gave the FO a chance to rectify their mistakes and they obviously didn't do it enough to his liking. I think there had to be at least a small inkling that "hey if we keep doing stuff this guy doesn't like he might bite back." ---
