Believe me when I say that the rest of the movie is so absurdly maximalist in the complete opposite direction that if "HBO Max bad" was supposed to be a cry for help by the writers, it is completely and utterly buried under the bullshit. If it is self-aware, it tries extremely hard to be mostly an ad and not look self-aware at all, defeating the point.
