The problem with the timer is that Arena still doesn't allow draws. This means that the "correct" move is for the player with the lower timer to concede and try to win two games. But that's also not quite ideal for the lower timer player, because now they're DEFINITELY down a game. So another play for them could be to try and waste the opponent's timer somehow.
