The problem people are having with this set is that it doesn't look like it will have any serious impact on standard. All the new mechanics are clearly for limited, and there almost certainly won't be any new decks coming out of this. The sets constructed players are really comparing this to are Eldraine and Ikoria, which will continue to be the dominating forces in standard. This set looks weak next to Strix which looks weak next to Kaldheim, so the trepidation is that standard will be virtually the same until rotation. Thankfully if you play on Arena Standard 2022 will be an option to shake things up and see if maybe there are some great cards/decks that just can't survive in a format defined by those two sets. --- "If you ever feel good about yourself, just look on the Internet." - Ryan Reynolds ...
