Great episode but that bit's an oddly heteronormative turn after the previous ep - not to say bi characters shouldn't be in m/f relationships or anything like that, but it feels like the classic writing trope that you just can't have a close relationship between a man and woman without making it a romantic thing, because I really don't buy the infatuation built up from such a brief encounter on Lamentis. I agree though so far it seems a bit one-sided like only Loki is falling for her and it's not exactly reciprocated the same way at least yet. Been browsing twitter about it and there's definitely a lot of people uncomfortable with the relationship - although to be fair I can't help think well that's the source material for you, in that Mythological Loki has done way more fucked up things (lmao we ain't getting bestiality in the MCU tho). I do though agree with Lasa's feelings that personally the defence of Loki x Sylvie as "self-love" steps on the two characters' individuality.
