unlimited funding is available for startups and companies in this space and they're rushing into it. vertical farming is a great example of it and the efficiency gains from that will be huge.
I don't think throwing money at it is the answer, I think policy action as well as just fucking doing it is the answer

The gist of it is that we improve these techs not by investing in them, but by implementing them and then improving by doing. Practice makes perfect, and all that.
R&D is useful too, but not as much as practice/incremental improvement.

The question is whether or not we're gonna smarten up in time to save ourselves from a big shitstorm. I'm not sure, because capitalism is constant but human wisdom is intermittent
