That book has absolutely nothing to do with the specific issue of climate change and doesn't debunk it as a concept, unfortunately

it explicitly talks about the positive trends in renewables, etc, that are relevant to the question.

and does say that there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic. literally nothing like post #9 will happen unless there's WW3 sometime soon for other reasons. we'll solve climate change and then the major reason for WW3 would be if China really tries to take Taiwan lol. plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the climate itself tho.

for example we're already able to reclaim most farmland via stuff like this coming soon, producing pretty much unlimited food:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/johnkoetsier/2020/11/20/this-2-acre-vertical-farm-out-produces-750-acre-flat-farms/

let nature reclaim the land and then we have massive carbon sinks emerging all over.

carbon sequestration will be a thing:

still lots of active work in fusion producing new progress every year:

https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/energy/a36559078/nuclear-fusion-breakthrough-uk-reactor-experiment/

we will plant a shit ton of trees and let trees grow in reclaimed land:

people spend too much time doom-scrolling in their little twitter/reddit bubbles/echo chambers (the algorithms keep you trapped inside an echo chamber basically), and not enough time reading optimistic outcomes that challenge the narrative.
