She was the "big girl" in her family and was given food restrictions by her parents, 55 y/o Paula and David.

Concerned for her weight, her parents wanted her to be more aware of what she's putting in her mouth but never made negative comments..that was her brother who bullied her as well as the boys at her school who would mock her weight.

She said "During school, i was often bullied for my size where the boys in my class used to call me names such as cow and whale and even laughed at me as why i am so fat. I think they did this to keep me quiet because they knew it would make me shut up and cry. Even my own brother used to call me names such as fatzella which really hurt and i started feeling bad about my body"

One time during a trip to Peru, 2 men asked if they could take a picture with her which she thought was weird but did it anyway and they started laughing after that which made her cry knowing it was to mock her

Sam could never find clothing styles and brands her friends would wear and could only find ugly ones as Hollister only went to a large and she's been X-Large her whole life

She had to purchase men's hoodies just so she would be wearing the same brands but all that changed with Forever 21 in 2015 who sold sizes for people like her. It was the first "trendy" shop that went to XXX-L

Now she wears a ONE PIECE and loves wearing bikinis and is more comfortable with her body than she was before and is advocating for self love by putting on clothes that maek you feel good

She racked up thousands of views when dancing in a bikini on Tiktok and wanted people to feel confident in their own skin despite the "jiggly cellulite" and not caring what others think

Sam says "Big people should be able to go out and live their lives and like everyone else, i don't want to stop doing things i love because i'm afraid of what others might think. I do what makes me happy in my body and i love my body"

Now she's scored a brand deal with Shein Curve after seeing her wear it and wants to represent the plus-size industry which has now grown and feels her body is "sexy and beautiful" and wants other big girls to feel the same
