It also brings up issues with the Buster sword and Cloud's entire character. Zack surviving is an alternate timeline. There's too many inconsistencies in his cutscenes that say he's alive in the same timeline. It would mean there's two Buster Swords, Stamp has a different design, the plate hasn't fallen in his timeline, the church doesn't have a hole in the roof, and it's heavily implied that Aerith is dead with the funeral-esque gathering inside the church + the flowers are wilting.
