Yes, $1M isnt enough to retire on, but its still a million lol. Why would I give up on that just because Im still probably just gonna have to work part time until Im 60 instead of full time until I die?
I feel it just puts you in an awkward spot where you still need to work but now you're the "rich person" that sticks out from the group. I make decent money now in a job I don't hate and a million at least until the bubble bursts, just buying a house would eat up a huge chunk of it.
Meanwhile, health is priceless (or if you live in the U.S. w/ our health care, it does have a price and you hope to never discover what it is) and strict dieting is really tough. If I can avoid all the health pitfalls of a non-perfect diet while getting the optimal nutrients w/ the freedom to eat anything that's tasty or cheap or quick and easy, that's amazing. That's just plain better than money, at least to a certain extent that's way above $1M.
