Alexander is a beast, but man I felt kinda blackballed a bit. This was THE big eidolon that the summoner tribe was so afraid of that they split its jewel into 4 pieces, and sure it kicks the crap out of bahamut with zero effort, but then giant space eyeball comes in and blows it up. Can't help but feel Alexander got done a bit dirty.
This is a good point. I guess it depends on how advanced the space people are compared to the summoners, and how long they've been coming to Gaia (it must've been them destroying Madain Sari 10 years ago). I'm sure all of that will become known as I progress, but yeah I guess they did wipe Alexander pretty easily, assuming he doesn't come back.

Worth it though, as it's an incredibly memorable sequence. One of the best uses of a summon in an FF plot that I can remember! I mean in general Alexander is a cool idea, this giant robot fortress that for some reason is angelic and holy, but this is the first time I've seen that concept actually work.
