I might have considered Ant-Man more of a question mark, but they wound using him almost exactly like he needed to be used (ie, comedy more than anything else). And Ant-Man is also nice given the diversity of themes in the MCU, where it feels very different compared to the other series. However, he's the kind of character that would go over well with kids so the idea never really struck me as crazy even if he had been a far less popular hero these days. (And I'm still waiting for those solo Jubilee film that some random YTer teased in a skit >_>) I liked both movies, but I would have assumed either would be too weird to actually be successful. Especially since they didn't dramatically change the costumes.
