Gods Dammit CDC!

This is an ideological position that the CDC has long held against the wishes of the people that work there, foisted on them for two reasons:

The first, that people would not accept mask use (and some didn't)

The second being security, (prosecutors coming out last year and telling us how weird it was to be doing something they have convicted people for doing) law enforcement is fundamentally opposed to people covering their face.

This was a problem that predated the 45th POTUS, we have more then a hundred years worth of data showing that mask usage works, but until last year the political considerations trumped the science.

What happens in the last quarter of the year when those who received their second dose at the beginning of the year hit the two hundred fifty day mark, and their protection drops by more then half?

Heck, look at what's happening right now, governments are actively dropping the mask mandates, some (read: Texas) threatening fines for local governments that keep their mask mandate.

In Canada the anti maskers are using it as fuel for their fire, and even normal people are looking South and asking why we can't follow suit. The CDC can go preform a physical impossibility on itself.

The goal was to vaccinate the world, not just those in our own domestic borders; this will create a situation that will breed vaccine resistant strains.
