AAI1-1: Turnabout Visitor

They give you Logic on training wheels the first couple of times, which I appreciated. 'Thinking like other people' is not exactly one of my strong suits - now that I've said that, this sure is a weird franchise for me to enjoy.

Deduce is also a great function - you Examine and then point out the part of the item that doesn't make sense. In this case, we have a pistol that has fired one shot, into the victim... but there's another bullet hole in Mr Edgeworth's early prosecutor suit frame on the opposite wall! Therefore, another gun is in the mix somewhere. We also get the 'Eureka!' interjection from Edgeworth at the time of his deduction. I have seen this on various items of fan merch, and wondered where this came from, so that clears up the confusion.

Jacques Portsman busts in and bothers us, accusing both Mr Edgeworth and Det. Gumshoe in turn of killing Faith, our victim the detective, who's dead on the scene. He forces us away from the scene of the crime as he urges another officer to take some photos of him mourning with the body. I mean, I've seen self-absorbed fictional characters, but this is bordering on take selfies with the deceasedfrom Weird Al's 'Tacky'.

We find a secret safe in the wall behind said suit frame, and it's now no longer secret. >_> Gumshoe has kept the office spotless, so it's really obvious that the safe is undisturbed...but the number pad has been wiped clean of prints! Suspich!

Mr Edgeworth wonders if the motive was theft, and we rearrange the files that were carelessly pulled off the shelf during a struggle... We'll have to see what that reveals to us.

Come on, John darling, they won't boo me.
