Just did an Eden run starting with Binge Eater, one of the most absurd runs I've ever had. I definitely understand why this is a secret room only item.
For those who have yet to encounter it, it gives you permanent boosts for food items in addition to the HP increase; it also makes every pedestal flip between its usual item and a food item. I found a library with four books along the way - I took the Satanic Bible and then three extra food items. So, I had a constant cycle of new health items and devil room items in place of boss room items. The devil room items also flip, meaning a free stat boost if you don't like the actual item. By the end, I had something like 11 health, 20 attack, max speed and fire rate, 13 luck (though I don't think any of my items were effected by luck). To top it off, I entered the Mother fight with a Sun card - not that I needed it.
