I've worked the same job for 5 years, I'm top of the pay scale for it now. I earned about 60k last year. I have about 60k in cash and stocks/ETFs that I can easily sell. I have an 800 credit score. They consider me low income and it's next to impossible for me to buy a one bedroom condo here. Think 60k is good income? In most places, it is. In LA, it won't buy you that much.
