It is a relatively bipartisan brand of idiocy. Over the past year, the partisan nature of the Covid pandemic (which is goddamn pathetic) has meant that vaccine hesitancy and anti-vaxx sentiments have shifted to be more of a right-wing thing, but I'd expect that to shift back to being fairly neutral once Covid has passed.

Pretty much this. The best thing for the virus was Trump being president in an election year. Not because of anything he did or didn't do but because it meant that any action taken regarding it was doomed to become politically charged. It was inevitable that one party would claim the vaccine was the worst thing ever and the other would rush to embrace it.
