Honestly, there's a part of me hoping that it does cause significant damage, purely because that would actually be enough to result the world putting pressure on China to do better, potentially up to and including shooting down any further rockets they try to launch before they can cause such damage. Like the world would ever step up to China. The only guy who had been in office with a spine was voted out for a more Beijing-sympathetic candidate, who was favored by the CCP.
