It sounds like they aren't recasting him. I have no idea which option I prefer, his death casts a large shadow either way - it's sort of weird that by not recasting him, you have to kill off the character because of the actor's death, and there's just no way of getting around the fact that the actor's real life death will cause a huge ripple in the story as well if you don't recast him, which seems weird. But recasting a new actor in the T'Challa role... I mean, they've recast people before, but this one feels different. I dunno if it feels right.

I'm in this boat. I also think about the cast and crew and how shitty it might feel for them to be doing the movie with someone else as T'Challa, and I think giving someone else the mantle would make for a better shoot and better movie. But it's a complicated situation regardless.
