That's kind of how it should work though. If you can get a job at Lincoln Electric or ArcelorMittal you can live like a king here. Its not just entry level shortage though. They don't have enough skilled labor either. Not enough mechanics, or electricians, or welders, or wood workers, not enough CAD people. People just aren't doing those things these days, not like they used to. The pay is decent for an electrician, but who's doing it? People aren't using the pandemic time to learn to weld, or learn to fix CNC machines. They are learning to code, they are learning IT stuff.
