Fanciest I've done is Otoko in Austin. $215/person for sushi omakase, $75/person for sake pairing, plus 20% tip and taxes.

They only seat 12 people at a time.

It was amazing.

I had a similar experience at the creatively named Omakase in SF! They do (or did, at the time) two separate seatings a night of I think 16-18 people. It's my only omakase experience so far, but I have eaten a lot of good sushi throughout my life, and this place was the best I've had. But pricing was probably about similar to yours. I think maybe a bit less (benefit of being closer to the ocean?). I also wasn't drinking at the time, so only one of the people I was with did the sake pairing. I still regret not doing it.

I've only been to Austin once, and only a small bit of my time was spent actually in the city, but all the food I had there was fantastic. Franklin's was actually worth the three hour line. Next time I'm there I'll need to see if I have enough money to accommodate Otoko. I want to try sushi omakase again.
