I guarantee you the owners of these factories are on the Chambers of Commerce in their areas and harp about the power of the free market and how it's the only way to organize things. But they don't respect the basic rule of supply and demand when that affects their bottom line.

It's clear what they're trying to do. They want politicians to create policies that make workers either more suitable for employment without them paying more or they want policies that make workers more desperate, so they don't have to pay more.

It's freedom and control for them as the bottom line. They're either gonna crash the capitalist car or they'll win and make us all into interchangeable worker bees with no safety net and no alternative to whatever they decide we won't literally drop dead on.
