George Lucas is one of the luckiest people on Earth. He had a single vague idea cobbled together from some pretty clear influences that got turned into a nearly unparalleled success by the geniuses around him and then he sleepwalked through a bunch of garbage sequels and sold it all off for billions of dollars.

Star Wars is one revolutionary movie, a few very good movies, and a heap of absolute trash and embarrassing merchandise and Disney will probably still choke the life out of it even after trying to restrain themselves.

If this is solely about Star Wars Day...it's as stupid but also as inoffensive as Pi Day and the like.
