The best team involved in the play-in will only have to play 1 extra game since the winner of the 7/8 match is in. Loser has to play the winner of the 9/10 match.

So it's like yeah it's an extra 1-2 games but the standings are close enough that it was entirely avoidable by not resting guys in the regular season too.

I'd just like them to put in a stipulation about having to be within X amount of games to trigger the play-in. Like if we ended up with a 10 seed who is 6+ games back then they shouldn't be let in.
