GameFAQs has been trying to turn itself into a site entirely formatted for mobile devices for about 8 years now. Their assumption is that most younger users only ever go online on their phones (or maybe tablets) anyway, so trying to make sure your site actually looks good on a laptop or PC is just a waste of time at this point. They're never going to stop trying to chase the "young" demographic, and they're never going to stop failing to get it because there's already about a dozen other sites they'd rather be posting on rather than one that was obsolete 15 years ago going through its mid-life crisis. It's the tech equivalent of "Hello, fellow kids!" --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Copied to Clipboard! |
