On the subject of speaking for the trees, I was momentarily excited recently (and had meant to post this) to learn that DC was starting a horror imprint... and I was then horrified to learn it was tied into the fucking Conjuring shit
Granted, The Lover story sounds a little interesting, but Ed and Lorraine Warren are jackass con people who bilked a fortune out of people with their insultingly false claims of the supernatural and I would never purchase anything connected to them since I don't want a penny getting back to their estate because I'm sure whoever would associate with them is a piece of shit, too. And it's a weird place for me to draw a line, but that's where I put a line. The really obvious, stupid fakery always annoys me. Same reason why I could never get into Ghost Hunters, despite enjoying a few other paranormal investigation series (including Destination Truth, although even there I think I started to tune out when the show got more into ghosts).
Ghost Hunters was the only good show like that.
I liked The Haunting or whatever it was called with the real stories too. The one that had the original people in interviews while actors played the parts. ---
