My mom's doctor did so when my mom tried to scapegoat my depression as the reason they're visiting. I told her to ask me before assuming my feelings. If everyone thinks like this, we're down the shitter. My parents had a trip booked to come see me 3 weeks ago. I told them not to. I had a Christmas trip booked.
