If someone adds a racial connotation to it then yeah, I agree that it's wrong, but don't tell me that you can't tell the difference between the 2 based on the context

even without adding something to it just seeing and having to use the terms master and slave together while working might bother some people given the long history of oppression and the ongoing fight for civil rights in america

no one is trying to say that in the tech world master and slave means slave owner and literal slave, from slavery but theres also nothing at all wrong with people talking from time to time about the kinds of language used in the workplace and what people are or are not comfortable with. And if enough people are uncomfortable with a terminology then there usually isnt any harm in coming up with an alternative that people can use if they choose.
