Thoughts: I legitimately enjoyed Oblivion. The first four tracks all had something for me to enjoy I felt. It was probably just fatigue, but it felt like the front half of this album was a lot more interesting than the back half. My experience with prog rock is very minimal, so maybe you have to be attuned to it to really be able to appreciate an entire album. Assuming this was a concept album, I could not follow it. All the lyrics were muffled by the massive guitars. Again, I'll chalk that up to lack of experience and familiarity with the genre. I didn't hate this album, but by the end I was ready for it to be over.

Yeah, this is echoing a lot of my thoughts after a 2nd listen. Fatigued is EXACTLY what I felt after about 30 minutes. I'm just not getting enough memorable parts to differentiate the tracks and so my mind starts to wander by track 5 or 6.

I want to do another listen with the lyrics up so I can try to track whatever story is being told. I totally agree that I had a very hard time picking up the vocals as I was listening on my evening walk.
