He's not difficult, even on hard difficulty. Keep him debuffed and you're doing enough damage that you don't even need to steal his crown. I was level 11, with Slime carrying most of the debuffing load. Ann kept Ryuji healed (he bore the brunt of Kamoshida's assaults), while Morgana spent half the battle trying to steal the crown.
