Yeah, other than the concept, the powers, and some of the art, it never seemed all that great. The storytelling was so-so, the characters were mostly unremarkable (Anna was the only one that kinda seemed a little different, although even then she was mostly just two or three tropes rolled into one character), and there wasn't a whole lot going for it. It just felt like another generic shonen.
