125. Dr. Wily (Mega Man 11)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k25HxbDSNO8

Did I really give this one my seal of approval? I did, right? Yeah, alright. I mean, I guess it's good enough, right? It's got what you want in a Wily theme. It's got a good beat. It's got a... hook, even though I seem to get it confused with Fuse Man in my head a lot and it took a while listening to it to actually remember it, which is usually pretty damning for a Mega Man theme. But I guess I felt like listening to it, so that's good? I dunno, man, these MM11 themes, they all don't sound like anything and they leave me wanting. But I guess I do like this one? All the component parts work, it just has that... *sound.* Grah. I think, independent of the rest of MM11, I like this one a lot more.

124. Frost Man (Mega Man 8)

So, if there's one thing that you should really know about me JUMP JUMP it's that I'm just the largest slut for a sick bassline ever JUMP JUMP and that alone can carry me throw a track that otherwise has some SLIDE SLIDE questionable choices. This is another track that sticks hard JUMP JUMP with Mega Man 8's fetish for bad horn samples and pan flutes SLIDE SLIDE carrying the lead, which does threaten to JUMP, JUMP put a damper on the track as a whole SLIDE, SLIDE but I'll be damned if the bassline here isn't carrying a fucking load.

123. Shade Man (Mega Man 7)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QEh-xlsJk0

Shade Man's got a pretty popular theme, right? Yeah, I guess it's good! I like it well enough, don't have super strong feelings about it, but I liked it more the more I listened to it. As far as SNES patch sets go, Mega Man 7's honestly isn't that bad when they care to make it sound halfway decent, and I think this one avoids that SNES ugliness... somewhat well, all things considered. It's not really a theme that sticks with me, but it's good enough, yeah?

122. Dr. Wily 4 (Mega Man: The Wily Wars)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlFv9BKBh-0

No real sins committed here, aside from that really sort of ghastly Genesis FM synth. I'm sorry, I know a lot of people have nostalgia for it and I wasn't a Genesis kid growing up, but it's not great! It's all a bit loud and airy in the wrong places and clicky in the wrong places. But I like the tune a fair bit? This is, weirdly, the only Wily stage theme from this game that doesn't sound wildly out of place, and it's a pretty nice little hype-builder for a totally mediocre final boss fight. I like hearing it but I'd like hearing it a little more if it wasn't Wily Wars.

121. Dr. Wily 1 (Mega Man 4)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOOst7LsvgI

Don't sweat this one too much, Mega Man 4 isn't going to show up on my list again for a long ass while, don't worry. This theme's a little bit of a weak link. It's good, and like most MM4 themes, it makes a lot of exceedingly odd choices, but in this case they're not quite weird enough to be completely mesmerizing. Why is the percussion so active, yet so far away? Why is the 'bass line' actually in like the fifth octave? Mega Man 4 presents me with a lot of weird conundrums. This one doesn't fascinate me like the rest though. Not upset to hear it, but it's relegated to the middle here - simply a case of liking other tracks more, or having a weirder fascination with them, one of the two.
