i don't really remember ever sympathizing much with tankies and communism at large. if you're asking what changed to make me wary of certain leftists it was probably the primaries last year and the fallout from it. the bernie or bust crowd completely repulsed me and made me reconsider a lot of things about political action and pragmatism and I realized a lot of those people operated entirely on spite, which is precisely what disgusted me about Republicans.

huh you're a lot wiser than I gave you credit for, most people never bother to notice or think about this stuff at all. it's all tribalism or spite like you said.

i think incels will become a much worse problem to the point where they start believing stuff like in post #34 (not saying anyone here is an incel, just that they'll adopt those beliefs)

"if I can't have what I want, no one should"

and

"what do I need laws for? just take what I want or ruin everything if I can't"

basically pining for a CHAZ or anarchy situation where they will be the men in charge, basically. power fantasy exacerbated by increased poverty.
