Transformers have always been in the $15-$30 range. The only difference now is they have even higher-end ranges and are more sought after, so once they're out of production the prices skyrocket. If you're looking for a crappy figure you can give to your kid and not care about if he breaks it, check budget stores like Big Lots, Family Dollar, etc...
