| SilentSeph 03/22/21 5:45:37 PM #9: | I am about 20 hours into the Definitive Version (never played the original or any other DQ) and I'm really enjoying it. Only complaint is the horrible music. I found out you can change the overworld theme to the orchestrated VIII version which is a godsend because the XI theme makes my ears bleed. Other than that, it's really great. I misread the Draconian settings thing at the beginning of the game and I thought you could toggle the handicaps anytime throughout the playthrough but in actuality, you have to turn them on when you start a new file and you can only turn them off afterwards (can't turn them back on again). I recommend at least turning on Stronger Monsters, it makes the battles a lot more hectic and exciting. If you don't like it, then you can always permanently turn it off later. --- Delicious and vicious, while maliciously nutritious. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
